Posted below are a number of recordings from the “vaults” of Petrieville. Feel free to browse and download as you like. To listen, just “left click” on the link. To download, “right click”, then choose “save target as”. Save the recording to your “my music” folder, ipod, etc. and voila. Enjoy!
Paris Quadrifolia is… Betsy Petrie, Kellie Anderson (Thompson) - Vocals / Kurt Kummerfeldt - Bass/ Doug Morgan - Drums / Michael Carapella - Guitar and Toby Petrie - Keyboards, a little vocals and primary songwriter. This material is from our main CD release which was actually released under the name “Betsy’s Big Day“, which I still don’t like. We we’re called Paris Quadrifolia before that. The name was just an ingredient Betsy read off a bottle of homeopathic throat remedy she had while we we all brainstorming what the band name should be. We thought this might be a name that hadn’t already been used.
Betsy Something was…. an earlier version of PQ and in addition to Betsy, Kurt and Toby, included James Baker on Guitar and Scot Goldman on Drums.
Second Sunday is…. or was, Betsy Petrie, Kay Bess (Klassen) - Vocals and Toby Petrie - Electronics. Kay and Toby collaborated on most of the songs. The last track was from a latter incarnation of the group which included Betsy and Toby, along with Annie Waugh - Vocals and Jeff Strohm - guitar and bass.
Petrieville is…. my (Toby’s) current, primarily instrumental recording diversion.
BB&The Guns were… Betsy’s first band and included Rick Mosher on Guitar, Ken Goodman on Keyboards, Rich (forgot his last name) and Doug Davis, drums. Big hits on the 80’s college circuit, the track listed below is one of the rare recordings still in circulation. (Rick and Ken went on to form “The New Duncan Imperials“.)
The rest….. is pretty self-explanatory.
